Penny Browell
Research Director
Our TV specialist. The only thing Penny loves more than good programming is watching it with her three kids. A previous Research Manager at BBC1, International Researcher for Discovery Channel, and Media Analyst at the EBU. She played a key role in the BBC’s Creative Future project, taking content beyond television and into the online and mobile markets. Penny has a soft spot for filmed qualitative research, as well as her mad Springer Spaniel.
James Dickie
Head of Commercial Radio
Research
James is Other lines of enquiry's commercial radio research specialist, consistently delivering quality insights to some of the UK's leading commercial radio groups including Bauer, Global Radio and Real & Smooth. James has been actively involved in the award-winning radioGAUGE research project since its inception in 2008; So far over 700 campaigns have been measured and in 2011 radioGAUGE delivered an ROI of £128 for every £1 invested in research. James has also been instrumental in launching radioGAUGE internationally; in Ireland, Canada and South Africa.
Dan Siddle
Research Innovation Specialist
Dan has a Master's in Consumer Psychology and regularly uses his consumer behaviour background and knowledge of technology to deliver innovative high-impact mixed methodology projects with robust insight. Dan fuses old and new methodologies, including neuroscience, mobile, social media analysis and data visualisation, to deliver the best solutions for clients. When he isn't conducting research, Dan enjoys drumming, scuba diving and playing underwater hockey.
Ben Mahon
Senior Data Analyst
Our numbers expert, Ben has a passion for statistics. He started off life as a website designer, and loves to let his creative side loose on survey scripting and PowerPoint slides. Ben specialises in complex quota management and the timely execution of fieldwork, dealing with large volumes of numerical data. He has a soft spot for complex analysis, as well as the melodic beats of his favourite dance tracks.
Daniel Jones
Data Analyst
Dan is the most recent addition to the Other lines line-up. As a graduate from Edinburgh University, he holds a Masters Degree with Honours in Business Studies and Accounting. Dan has an inquisitive and analytical mind, with an eye for commercial relevance. He’s involved in operations planning and data manipulation. As well as having a passion for mathematical programming, Dan plays the bass in a Death Metal band.
Sarah Longbottom
Research Manager
Sarah is the media specialist for Other lines of enquiry North's private sector clients. Prior to working at Other lines of enquiry North, Sarah spent 5 years within the retail sector analysing sales, developing trading strategies and forecasting margin growth. Sarah is kept very busy by her son Noah, running over the Northumberland fells, walking her two Springer Spaniels in the Lake District and yoga.
